I had to share this video of a VDOT crew working at 2:45 in the morning on 08 Feb, 2010. They responded in 20-min to get my VERY pregnant friend to the hospital. There was NO way an ambulance was getting to her, and she wasn’t sure she could hike 3/4 mile uphill through 24-inches of snow to get to an ambulance. Seeing these tractors brought tears to our eyes. Thank you VDOT, from the bottom of my heart. The hospital visit caused the labor to stop (a good thing), so my friend is still pregnant, but no telling what would’ve happened if VDOT hadn’t made it possible for her to get ot the hospital!
